This large decorative metal sculpture is a replica inspired by Paul Howard Manship’s iconic 1921 work Atalanta. The piece depicts the mythological Greek huntress in motion, gracefully poised with a ribbon arcing overhead. The flowing form and stylized detailing reflect the elegance of Manship’s Art Deco interpretation of classical themes.
Cast in metal and later painted in a matte black finish by a previous owner, the sculpture stands on a 10.5" round base adorned with leaping dolphin motifs. The piece measures 33" tall × 28" wide, making it an impressive display for a garden, foyer, or statement interior.
This is a modern reproduction for decorative use, not an original Manship bronze. Some finish wear is present, adding character to the piece.
