This refined vintage teapot was produced by Gibsons of England and features a softly sculpted, vertically ribbed form finished in a warm cream-to-ivory crackle glaze. The body is delicately adorned with gilt floral motifs, complemented by a gold-trimmed handle, spout, and lid finial that give the piece a luminous, elegant presence.

The rounded, melon-inspired silhouette reflects mid-century British design sensibilities, balancing decorative richness with clean, confident form. Subtle crackling throughout the glaze adds depth and character, while the fitted lid includes a vent hole for functional pouring. This design is believed to correspond to Gibsons pattern W777, a desirable and recognizable model among collectors.

Founded in 1875 by Samuel Gibson in Staffordshire, England, Gibsons was known for high-quality earthenware production, with teapots of this style commonly dating to the 1950s–1960s, shortly before teapot production ceased around 1965.

A beautiful example of British mid-century earthenware, this teapot works equally well as a display piece or as part of a curated teaware collection.
