This is an early 20th century wardrobe truck by Mendel and Co. It is badged "The Mendel Wardrobe Patent No 743-537. This is a very rare find because you would have needed to be a wealthy person to afford or have the need for a trunk this size. The upper and lower hinges that keep the trunk shut are in tact and do close all the way. It appears that someone tried to force the center lock open and it's damaged on the key hole. We do not have the key. One interior side has four lower drawers that I assume once had leather pulls. The pulls are gone so you have to grab from the sides and wiggle a little. The upper portion has a smaller hanging rack with the original hangers. The other side has a center sliding hanging post with the original hangers. There are white wooden dividers at the bottom. I think someone added those at some point. This is a great collector piece but would also be a great piece to transform. Imagine gutting portions and making a bar, shoe storage, retail display, etc. These don't pop up often. Be sure to watch our walk around video.

Larger, heavier and multiple pieces that require at least two people to move can also affect the time frame. Local delivery areas include Sanford and the surrounding areas.
