This charming cast iron Artillery Bank captures the playful ingenuity of late 19th-century mechanical banks, inspired by the original design patented in 1892 by J.E. Stevens. Featuring a brightly painted soldier operating a brass-toned cannon aimed at a stone turret, this piece brings movement, character, and history together in one compact display.

To operate, a coin is placed into the cannon barrel and, with a press of the lever, the mechanism springs forward to “fire” the coin neatly into the turret. The bank measures approximately 8 inches wide by 5.5 inches tall, making it an ideal shelf or desk display while remaining fully functional. Likely a later licensed reproduction, it still offers the solid weight, tactile feel, and nostalgic charm collectors love.
