Offered here is a substantial executive desk by Modern Mode of Oakland, California. Known for their high-quality craftsmanship and timeless mid-century design, Modern Mode pieces were considered premium furnishings when new.

This desk is solid wood construction, very heavy, and built to last. It features a total of six drawers plus a center pencil drawer, providing ample storage. The drawers open smoothly, though the middle drawer on the right side does not close completely flush.

Condition shows surface wear consistent with age and use — including scratches on the sides and wear to the top — but it remains highly functional as-is. With a light restoration or refinishing, it could be returned to its original sophistication.
