A beautiful example of mid-century American studio pottery by Karl Freimark, this handmade stoneware platter showcases a richly layered glaze in deep indigo, soft plum, and earthy tones. The brushstroke motif, possibly an abstract floral or leaf design, gives the piece an expressive and organic feel. It has a subtly curved square form and is both decorative and functional — perfect as a serving tray, catch-all, or art piece on display.
Freimark’s work is known for its artistic glazing and sturdy craftsmanship. This platter is stamped “FREIMARK” on the underside and also features a large painted “J” mark in oxide.
