This blue and white porcelain plate features a beautifully hand-painted central floral scene surrounded by delicate fish and seaweed designs along the rim. The cobalt underglaze is vibrant and richly detailed, and the outer edge is bordered with a traditional iron-brown dressing. The back is unmarked aside from typical hand-drawn brush strokes along the foot ring, which has signs of age and wear. - 9” Round

There is one small chip on the rim (see photos), but the plate remains in very good overall condition for its age. Based on stylistic and physical characteristics, we believe this to be a piece of Chinese export porcelain, likely made in the late Qing Dynasty or early 20th century.

Please note: While we believe this plate to be authentic and antique, there is always a possibility that it may be a later reproduction. We’ve done our best to accurately represent its style and condition with clear photos and a detailed description.
